Pretty, pretty, pretty. This newsletter not only gets outstanding response rates for a daily, but it is one of the most attractively designed templates of all reviewed this year. Plus, we love the fact that the editors revolve the clickthrough offer media day by day -- one day it's an article, the next an audio file, the next some video. ... Just because it's a newsletter doesn't mean all content has to be text articles.

From Their Nomination Form:
Audience: English-speaking people 14 to 65 looking for inspirational messages and encouragement from a biblical perspective. Primary goal: Branding. Secondary goal: Marketing. Our tag line is "Live Life Inspired". This daily email campaign draws content from our resources and often includes links to samples (audio, text, or video) of the content. Links to promotional content (audio or video) about the featured resource or another resource may also be included. A link to the resource detail page is also included (this page includes a "Where to Buy link). Unique design. Colors vary in each email to complement the life-style photograph. I tailor content to the calendar (i.e., Christmas, MLK day, lent, etc.) to make it more relevant.

Each email includes a unique benefit word (e.g., special, friend, wise, etc.) that communicates what the inspirational message is about, includes a life-style photograph related to the inspirational message, includes a link to a page that provides details about the resource from which the inspirational message came (this page has a "Where to Buy" link), includes a link to an excerpt from the resource for further investigation (text, audio, or video) or a promotional audio or video, and is true to the brand promise of an inspiring daily devotional.

We also provide a link to our blog to discuss the inspirational message, which is also posted on our blog, at least once a week. Activity on our blog has increased as a result. As appropriate, we provide links to supporting online content such as Bible verses and links to events of interest such as related movies, services, or tours. Sorry, the judges promised this winner that we would keep their results private. However, be assured that we have seen all the data - and were thoroughly impressed!
