At MarketingSherpa, we publish articles fill with real-world marketing examples with results. Not advice. Or buzzwords. Or thought leaders. Or what you think will work. Show the marketers and entrepreneurs who read our articles – what actually worked. How you did it. What you learned.

You can see previous examples of these publish articles in the MarketingSherpa library (choose 'Case Studies' under 'Content Type' in the left-hand nav).

If you have an example that you think would work well in an article, you can send your pitch to Daniel.Burstein@Meclabs.com

Here’s what we look for in a pitch:

TL;DR – we need Before, After, Results, and Quotes. Below is some commentary on what we look for, if you want more details.

The information we need in a pitch for possible inclusion in an article is…

  • BEFORE (including image of the ad, landing page, email, or whatever best shows the message the customer received) – What were they doing and why? What worked well, and what didn’t? Please describe and show enough specifics that a marketer or entrepreneur can get an idea for improving their own marketing.
  • AFTER (including image of the ad, landing page, email, or whatever best shows the message the customer received) – Again, what did they change it to and why? Please be very specific and show and explain how you used a tactic, so marketers and entrepreneurs can learn from it.
  • RESULTS – Numerical results from this change.
  • What the brand learned from these tactics to better serve the end customer

We publish these stories from the perspective of the brand. So, we would need unique, exclusive quotes from at least one person who currently works at the brand/client. Nothing salesy or promotional please. Our audience wants the type of insights that come naturally between peers over a cup of coffee or a bottle of beer.

Happy to consider unique, exclusive quotes from people that currently work at the main vendor or any other vendors involved as well. This is how vendors get linked in the article. Don’t need to link to any vendors but want to give you the option of including. Again, nothing salesy or promotional please. Our audience just wants insights from the case study and helpful advice marketers can use even if the marketers never buy anything from any of the vendors.

Need full name, title, company name, and company homepage URL for anyone we quote. I will need to verify their identity online. So if it isn’t easy to find their LinkedIn, please send it to me.

Please Note: We only publish examples of permission-based marketing.
