Founder, The Onion
Scott Dikkers captivates audiences with the crazy, unlikely and hilarious story of how he and a few friends dropped out of college and started a fake newspaper, which somehow turned into the world's very first humor website. Today, TheOnion.com is one of the most popular humor destinations in the world, with millions of readers and social media followers.
Dikkers is The Onion's longest-serving editor-in-chief, and the godfather of its unique comedic vision. In 2006 he created The Onion News Network, which has spawned countless viral videos and three TV series. He's the best-selling co-author of The Onion's first two original books, Our Dumb Century and Our Dumb World. His work has won the Thurber Prize for American Humor, a Peabody, and over 30 Webby Awards.
Before starting The Onion, Dikkers wrote and drew the successful daily comic strip "Jim's Journal." He has written and directed two feature films and performed on Saturday Night Live. His eclectic life and rollercoaster career makes for a lot of hard-won wisdom and outrageous stories about life on the fringes of the do-it-yourself entertainment business that is sure to have you teary-eyed with laughter.
Flint McGlaughlin
Managing Director, MECLABS Institute
Flint McGlaughlin is the Managing Director of MECLABS Institute. The organization has partnered with key market leaders including, The New York Times, Microsoft Corporation, and Reuters Group. McGlaughlin also serves as the Director of Enterprise Research at the Transforming Business Institute, University of Cambridge (UK), as the Chairman of the Board of Governors for St. Stephen's University, and as a Trustee for Westminster Theological Centre. McGlaughlin originally studied Philosophy and Theology at the University of London's Specialist Jesuit College. Today, his primary research is focused on enterprise as transformative agent. His work has won multiple awards and has been quoted in more than 13,000 online and offline sources.

Dan Briscoe is the VP of Marketing at HCSS, a construction software company recognized by The Wall Street Journal as one of the top small businesses in the country. He spent six years in the Marines, 16 years in healthcare sales and marketing, and now he is helping construction companies improve their businesses using technology and software. He loves coming to work every day with a great team of marketing experts who share a common goal of doing the best marketing in the construction industry.

During “work” hours (a difficult term to nail down given I work for a global company in a digital world), Ginger helps the 25th largest brand in the world run better. Since 2004, she’s helped companies in myriad industries by telling not only the SAP story, but the stories of their customers and their customers’ customers. Andrea Shaikin is the former Director of Customer Experience & Engagement for Mr. Lube Canada (the Canadian leader in automotive maintenance service) where she headed CRM, Customer Retention, Digital and Social Marketing. Prior to Mr. Lube she spent 9 years at the Royal Bank of Canada leading Client Engagement and Retail Rewards for the RBC Rewards loyalty program; and she has also held roles with As (former) Director of Customer Experience & Engagement, Andrea Shaikin headed CRM, customer retention and both digital and social marketing for Mr. Lube Canada (the Canadian leader in automotive maintenance service). Ari Sheinkin

Ari Sheinkin leads Marketing & Digital Analytics for the IBM Corporation. He is responsible for developing and delivering world-class data systems, reporting tools and analytics solutions across all business units and geographies. Previously, he led strategy for IBM’s $80 billion Global Sales division.
Prior to that, he was an Associate Partner in IBM’s Global Business Services. He started his career in film production and was a partner in a successful independent film production company; he directed production of the nationally renowned feature film A More Perfect Union. Sheinkin has a BA from George Washington University and an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University.

Prior to this, Billick was at RetailMeNot, where he drove consumer growth and retention initiatives, and most recently, was Head of Marketing - US. He has previously held various marketing roles at Virgin America, Gap, and Discovery Channel Europe. Billick lives in Austin with his wife and three young (and nonstop) kids.
Bryce Miller
(Former) Website Optimization Manager, MasterControl
By iterating online form tests and landing page designs to optimize MasterControl’s online conversions, Bryce Miller has been pivotal in producing a $3.5 M increase in the enterprise quality management software company’s sales pipeline. From start to finish, Bryce has managed a variety of testing and optimization projects designed specifically to find segues into improvement. He leads the way in measured improvements on the MasterControl website, which account for 90% of the companies’ sales pipeline. He loves being a part of the progress and success that testing affords and enjoys tracking the impact of those successes.
By day, Bryce insists on wearing a tie in a casual work environment (he loves his ties) and has a YouTube video recommendation for any and every occasion. By night, he dreams of turning a mountain into a secret underground lair and becoming a vigilante. Ask him about this later.

Frank Danna is the Director of Social Strategy at Softway (www.softway.com) and co-founder of GhostCodes (www.GhostCodes.com) He's a social influencer as well as a social strategist -- balancing a vital understanding of social platforms and the know-how to properly execute effective campaigns. Danna’s award-winning videos have been viewed more than 60 million times across social platforms. Frank has created and directed ads for over 100 of the world's top brands including ESPN, BMW, HBO, Target, Samsung, Amazon, Uber, and many others.
Jonathan Levey
Senior Digital Marketing Manager, Flexjet
Jonathan Levey is the Senior Digital Marketing Manager for Flexjet and oversees marketing for Skyjet. Both companies are leaders in the private aviation industry. He directs all aspects of digital marketing and is responsible for generating sales leads for both brands.
The Skyjet app for iPhone, which Levey helped to create, has won numerous awards, including "Best Mobile Travel User Experience" at EyeforTravel's Mobile Innovation Awards and a Gold Stevie® Award in the travel app category at the 2016 American Business Awards. Flexjet was named Interactive Marketer of the Year in 2016 by the American Marketing Association, Dallas-Fort Worth chapter.
Levey is most at home when facing a marketing challenge and enjoys analyzing the activity of website and app users. A natural communicator, his previous jobs include a stint with Fathom, a Cleveland-based digital marketing and analytics agency.
Levey earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from Indiana University. A Northeast Ohio resident and a lifelong sports fan, he makes use of every opportunity he can find to cheer on his hometown teams.

Kara MacDonald is the Director of Marketing Operations at HCSS, a construction software company named one of the "Best Places to Work in Texas" for nine straight years. She started with the company right out of college, long before smartphones existed. As technology started to bleed into marketing, MacDonald found her passion in helping lead the processes and best practices in HCSS’ marketing technology stack. She also leads the team responsible for HCSS’ annual conference. She loves working with an extremely talented team and seeing how she can help make their jobs easier and improve customer experiences with HCSS.

Lindsay Lyons is a Director of Global Content Strategy at Dell EMC with more than 16 years’ experience in sales, performance coaching, and marketing. Customer experiences are paramount for Lyons as she strives to make sure Dell EMC delights customers no matter how they interact with them. She achieves this through digital customer experiences, compelling storytelling, superior sales interactions and ensuring her team is creating content to personalize experiences in a way that's manageable at an enterprise scale. He has also served as Vice Chair of Digital Strategy for the Harvard Extension Student Association, and provided marketing consulting for small and mid-size businesses.

Stef Brower leads Global Social Marketing for HP’s Print business. A four-year veteran of HP, she previously led social for HP’s Consumer PC division, and has a diverse background that covers digital and traditional, to agency work via Richards/Carlberg and IDEA.
Some of Brower’s proudest moments include leading HP’s holiday campaign which partnered with Disney for the release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, driving HP’s film festival partnership with Sundance, and the management of a global campaign partnering HP with Epic Records and Meghan Trainor to create the “Lips Are Movin” music video.

Daniel is also a frequent speaker and moderator at live events and on webinars. Previously, he was the main writer powering MarketingExperiments publishing engine – from Web clinics to Research Journals to the blog. Prior to joining the team, Daniel was Vice President of MindPulse Communications – a boutique communications consultancy specializing in IT clients such as IBM, VMware, and BEA Systems. Daniel has 13 years of experience in copywriting, editing, internal communications, sales enablement, and field marketing communications.
Pamela Jesseau

Pamela Jesseau builds strategic partnerships, plans promotional initiatives, and is responsible for Applied Research communication- and marketing-related activities. If it impacts a MECLABS brand, it goes through her.
Before joining the team in June 2009, Jesseau worked for seven years as a wireless marketing manager at Bell Canada, during which time she managed campaigns for the Solo Mobile and Bell Mobility brands. Her work has been recognized at Cannes, the CLIOs, and the Canadian Marketing Awards among others. Jesseau started her career as a marketing intern at Microsoft while completing her Bachelor of Commerce degree at Dalhousie University.
Austin McCraw
Associate Vice President, Partner Solutions, MECLABS Institute
Austin McCraw joined the MECLABS research team in 2007 after graduating from University of Florida's college of Journalism and Communications. Since then, he has reviewed over 2,500 experiments, written over 300 hours of training, and developed five professional certification courses on the topics of Offer Response Optimization and Value Proposition. Currently, he works directly with Dr. Flint McGlaughlin, founder and Director of MECLABS, on his academic and commercial writing projects. He lives in Florida with his wife and three sons.
Courtney Eckerle

With a focus on inbound and email marketing, Courtney’s goal is to produce clear, interesting and actionable external content for MarketingSherpa readers. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in English Literature, Mass Communications and Film Studies from Saint Mary’s College in Notre Dame, Ind. Ken is a Data Scientist at MECLABS Institute, working closely with our partner corporations to help transform complicated data sets into actionable customer insights. Ken previously served as Managing Editor of MarketingSherpa’s sister-site, MarketingExperiments, using his knowledge of data to write and produce testing-related content for our community of marketers worldwide. He is also currently helping to create MECLABS new graduate-level course on the Fundamentals of Online Testing for the University of Florida. Prior to joining MECLABS, Ken worked in civil engineering, interfacing with clients such as NASA, the Florida Department of Transportation, the Jacksonville Transportation Authority and UF Shands Medical Center. Ken has a degree in Economics and recently released a book, Big League City! 100 Years of Football in Jacksonville, with a foreword by Jacksonville Jaguars’ owner Shad Khan.

As a member of the MECLABS optimization team, Laura is responsible for leading digital strategy for a broad range of organizations ranging from digital start-ups to a Fortune 20 wireless corporation. Before MECLABS, Laura worked as a public relations and marketing manager, and clerked for several law firms. Laura holds her J.D. from Florida Coastal School of Law, where she specialized in legal research and writing, and her B.S. in hospitality management from the University of Central Florida. In her spare time, Laura enjoys spending time with her family, playing classical piano and being on the water.
Matthew Klein
Associate Vice President, Partner Solutions, MECLABS Institute
Matthew Klein joined MECLABS Institute in 2011 as an apprentice under Managing Director, Flint McGlaughlin. He now leverages that executive exposure in his role as a Research Partnership lead with MECLABS’ Partner Solutions group. His responsibilities include providing strategic direction on everything from optimization to marketing technology, and driving the overall direction for research partnerships with multiple Fortune 500 companies. Prior to joining the team in 2011, Matthew completed a global master’s program, studying international business management and intercultural communications in Germany, Poland, China, and the US. He has a MBA from the University of North Florida, a MA from the University of Warsaw in Poland and Fachhochschule Köln in Germany, and a BA from James Madison University.
